1. Imperial College London
Imperial College London (officially The Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine) is a public university located in London, United Kingdom. It was established on July 8, 1907. Rector: Sir Keith O’Neill. It is number seven in the world rankings and number one in the London rankings.
This university is considered as one of the most prestigious universities in the world. The Imperial’s main campus is located in Kensington, south London.

The campus is located 19 miles (31 km) west of Surrey, 19 miles (31 km) from central London.
The Egham Campus was founded in 1879 by Thomas Hallway, a Victorian entrepreneur and philanthropist. Royal Hallway College was officially opened in 1886 by Queen Victoria as an all-female college. It became a member of the University of London in 1900.
In 1945, the college admitted male postgraduate students and in 1965, admitted about 100 of the first male graduates. In 1985, Royal Hallway merged with Bedford College (another former all-female college in London).
The amalgamated college was named Royal Hallway and Bedford New College (RHBNC), the official registered name of the college by Parliament Act.
The campus is dominated by the Founder Building, a Grade I listed red-brick building modeled on the Chateau de Chambord in the Lower Valley of France. It ranks 334th in the world and 8th in London.
