Bangladesh Agricultural University is a higher education institution of agriculture in Bangladesh. It is located in Mymensingh city. Bangladesh Agricultural University is the highest educational institution of agricultural education and research in the country.

It covers all branches of agronomy. It is located in Mymensingh city and was established on 18 August 1961.

The University is built on a land of about 1200 acres at the western end of the old Brahmaputra river, 4 km south of Mymensingh city. The campus is located 120 km north of the capital Dhaka. The nickname of Bangladesh Agricultural University is BAU and its former name was East Pakistan Agricultural University.

BAU was the second-highest budget public university in Bangladesh for the financial year 2013-2014. According to WebMatrix University Rankings 2017, it is the number one university in Bangladesh.
